Yet, in many rural and underprivileged areas, women continue to face challenges such as poverty, illiteracy, early marriage, domestic violence, and lack of opportunities. Many are denied the chance to learn, work, or express their potential simply because of social barriers or economic hardship.
At HANDinHAND Society, we believe that when a woman is empowered, an entire family and community rise with her. Empowering women is not just about providing them with income or education — it’s about restoring their confidence, self-worth, and ability to make their own choices.
Our mission is to create equal opportunities for women to become independent, skilled, and respected members of society — able to live with dignity and hope.
We run various programs and initiatives that support women’s social, educational, and economic empowerment. Our goal is to help women build self-confidence, financial stability, and leadership skills so they can lead better lives and inspire others.
Our key initiatives include:
🧵 Skill Development & Vocational Training:We provide tailoring, embroidery, and handicraft training to women and girls from poor backgrounds, enabling them to earn a stable income from home or through small businesses.
💼 Livelihood & Self-Employment Opportunities:We distribute sewing machines and handicraft materials to women so they can start their own trade. Many women have successfully established tailoring units and small shops with our support.
📚 Educational Support for Women & Girls:We encourage girls to continue their education and offer scholarships or tuition support where needed. Our volunteers also organize awareness sessions on the importance of literacy for women.
🩺 Health & Hygiene Awareness:We conduct workshops on women’s health, menstrual hygiene, and nutrition, ensuring that rural women are informed and empowered to take care of their bodies and well-being.
🌸 Support for Widows and Abandoned Women:We provide emotional, financial, and moral support to widows, single mothers, and women who have been neglected by their families — helping them rebuild their lives with courage and stability.
✋ Rights and Awareness Programs:Our society organizes campaigns on women’s rights, domestic violence prevention, and gender equality. These programs encourage women to speak up, seek help, and participate actively in community leadership.
🤝 Self-Help Groups (SHGs):We help women form small groups to save money, share experiences, and build micro-enterprises together. These groups serve as strong networks of mutual support and growth.
